Returning in February, we have another double-header looking at the Umbraco Content Management system.

Perhaps you’ve seen it mentioned in job ads, or had a play with it years ago in the .NET Framework days. It offers developers high flexibility, security and scalability whilst giving content editors an easy-to-use interface and intuitive editing experience. It’s free and Open-Source, and supported by a community of friendly, highly-engaged developers.

In this talk we shall learn what a .NET developer needs to know to get started with modern (.NET 8) Umbraco. We shall review its key features, including recently added ones such headless and EF core support, and where the product is heading in the future. Enough for you to determine if Umbraco is a good fit for current or upcoming projects, or if you want to extend your .NET skills and learn something new.

Umbraco and Aardman : providing a globally renowned animation company with a scalable technology platform with Matt Sutherland from True Digital.

In early 2022, True launched the new website for OSCAR and BAFTA-winning animation studio, Aardman. true designed and built a B2B focused site, using Umbraco in line with a rebrand for the creators of Wallace and Gromit, in a way that will scale over time, save them admin effort, and most importantly budget.

Matt Sutherland, true’s Head of Technology, will share our experience in building a composable DXP site and how this has benefitted the team at Aardman and delivered to and beyond the expectations of their brief.
