What we’re about

We are a group of passionate and friendly individuals who share a love of Tai Chi and traditional Chinese martial arts.

Although mostly known for its slow, graceful movements as well as holistic benefits, Taichi is first and foremost a martial discipline, one that encumbers a diverse practical repertoire and sparring. While much of the latter has fallen to the background in modern times, Sifu Ha has spent years of full time study with China's premier Taichi, Shuai jiao (Chinese wrestling) and Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) practitioners in the prestigious Shanghai University of Sports, amassing a comprehensive understanding of both holistic and combative aspects of Tai Chi.

As a result, we are able to cater for a variety of students, from those who aim to improve fitness, coordination, loose weight and facilitate in the treatment of old injuries, to those who wish to learn self defense as well as improve their throwing/grappling game for competitions. Classes are highly dynamic and tailored to individual goals and needs.

We also practice a form of competitive "Push Hands" which focuses on unbalancing the opponent by disrupting his center of gravity through the use of grappling and throwing strategies. This is not the typical push hands you see in the park where people rock back and fourth with circling arms, but rather a platform to test our technical repertoire on fully resisting opponents.

We hope to share this unique Chinese martial art with you and hope that you will enjoy this experience as much as we do!

*We offer a FREE trial class for FIRST TIME members, please feel free to contact us for further details.
