covered mountains of Kazakhstan to the stunning alpine landscapes of
Kyrgyzstan, experience a winter journey filled with breathtaking scenery,
local culture and unforgettable adventures. Join Jennifer Hong, a
Singapore-based solo traveller and content creator, who first explored Kyrgyzstan during her 114-day overland journey from Singapore to Kazakhstan in 2025, travelling across seven countries without flying.
Having spent a total of nearly seven weeks exploring Kyrgyzstan, Jennifer
knows that the best travel experiences often lie beyond the usual

Days 8 Nights

Day 1 – 24 December | Arrival in Almaty, Kazakhstan
Arrive in Almaty, meet your guide and driver, enjoy dinner and transfer
to your hotel.

Day 2 – 25 December | Almaty City Tour & Shymbulak
Explore Green Bazaar, Panfilov Park and Zenkov Cathedral, then visit
Medeu and take the cable car to Shymbulak Mountain Resort, weather
and operating conditions permitting.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Overnight: Almaty – Kazhol Park Hotel / Renion Hotel or similar

Day 3 – 26 December | Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Saty Village
Discover Charyn Canyon and its Valley of Castles before travelling to
Saty Village. Visits to Kolsay and Kaindy Lakes depend on winter road
and weather conditions.

Overnight: Saty Village – Eki Agagiyandy / Elmira Guesthouse or similar

Day 4 – 27 December | Saty – Border Crossing – Karakol
Travel from Saty to Karakol via the available Kazakhstan–Kyrgyzstan border crossing, subject to border operations and winter conditions.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 5 – 28 December | Jyrgalan Valley Winter Experience
Enjoy Jyrgalan Valley’s winter scenery, with optional snowshoeing,
horse riding or snowmobiling subject to weather, availability and additional charges.

Day 6 – 29 December | Karakol – Jeti-Oguz – Fairy Tale Canyon –
Kaji-Say
Visit the Seven Bulls rock formations at Jeti-Oguz and explore Fairy Tale
Canyon before continuing along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake to
Kaji-Say.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day 7 – 30 December | Kaji-Say – Eagle Hunting – Local Experiences – Burana Tower – Bishkek
Witness a traditional eagle-hunting demonstration, experience local
Kyrgyz culture through yurt-making and cooking, and visit the historic
Burana Tower before arriving in Bishkek.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Overnight: Bishkek – Sofia International Hotel or similar

Day 8 – 31 December | Bishkek City Tour & New Year's Eve
Enjoy scenic views at Chunkurchak Gorge, then explore Ala-Too Square,
Oak Park, Victory Square and Osh Bazaar. Enjoy free time and a farewell dinner.
