About us
❤️🩹 If you’re going through a breakup, divorce, or major life transition and feeling tender, stuck, or overwhelmed, New Beginnings Relationship Support (SF Peninsula) offers a compassionate community where you can land, know acceptance, and begin finding your way forward. Here, you’re not expected to have it all figured out. While each person’s healing journey is unique, no one needs to go it alone. We offer kindness, understanding, and a deeply human space where you are welcome exactly as you are.
🔷 We host weekly support meetings on Zoom every Wednesday evening from 7–9 pm (Pacific time). The first hour includes a video or short talk focused on personal growth, emotional healing, better communication, or understanding and managing the divorce process. The second hour is a confidential sharing circle, where participants are invited to have their cameras on to help create a safe, supportive environment. Meetings are no cost to participants, but donations via Venmo (@Amy-Papazian) are appreciated to help cover the time and care invested in preparing meaningful practical content. There's no charge to join the Meetup group itself.
🔷 We also host weekly one-hour walks (rain or shine) for Divorced Dads in San Mateo, CA. These walks offer a relaxed, low-pressure way to connect with others who understand what you're going through, while getting a bit of fresh air, movement, and enjoying a beautiful view of Crystal Springs Reservoir. There is no charge for our weekly walks.
🔷 Looking to make new friends and get back out into the world? We also host an in-person Meetup group called New Beginnings Social Events, created especially for people who are starting a new chapter and would love more connection, fun, and friendship. Our social events are focused on the SF Peninsula, San Francisco, and the South Bay, and include easygoing gatherings like walks, coffee meetups, casual dinners, game nights, music, dancing, and other low-pressure ways to meet kind, supportive people who “get it.” You’re warmly invited to join us there as well if you’re craving more in-person connection and friendship.
❤️ We’d love for you to join us! Please make sure to turn ON Meetup notifications so you can stay updated on all our gatherings and events. We require a profile photo with your face visible for the safety of all.

🌟 Starting Over – A 4-Week New Beginnings Relationship Series
·OnlineOnlineA new year doesn’t fix everything — but it can be the moment you begin again. Join us for a 4-week guided series on healing, clarity, and starting over. Reflect, reset, and begin again — together.
January 7, 14, 21 & 28 | Wednesdays on Zoom
Join us this January as we explore Starting Over, a powerful four-part video series by Andy Stanley that gently walks us through what it really takes to heal, rebuild, and move forward after loss, change, heartbreak, or life-altering transitions.
Life doesn’t always go as planned. Relationships shift, dreams change, and sometimes everything feels like it’s come undone. This series helps us pause, make sense of what happened, and choose what comes next — with clarity, courage, and compassion.
Along the way, we’ll explore:
- How do you come to terms with what’s happened?
- How do you process what others did — and your own part in it?
- How long should you look back before it’s time to move forward?
📆 Our 4 Weekly Sessions:
Week 1 – Introduction & The Three Myths About Starting Over
Week 2 – Own It!
Week 3 – Re-Think It!
Week 4 – Release It!
Each week builds on the last, giving you practical insight, emotional grounding, and space to reflect in community.
This series is presented by Andy Stanley. While the talks occasionally reference scripture, the content is practical, grounded, and focused on universally relevant themes of personal responsibility, reflection, and emotional release. People of all backgrounds and belief systems are welcome.

Practical Tools for Feeling Like Yourself Again After Relationship Loss
After a breakup or divorce, it’s normal to feel mentally scattered, emotionally raw, and disconnected from your usual confidence and sense of self. You may find yourself replaying old conversations, worrying about what others think, or doubting your choices. This four-part series offers practical, grounded tools to help you regain focus, rebuild trust in yourself, and begin moving forward in a way that feels authentic and steady.
The series is based on The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, using its ideas as a framework to understand how we create unnecessary suffering — and how we can reduce it — especially during times of loss and transition. No prior reading is required, and each session will include short teaching, practical exercises, reflection prompts, and optional discussion in a supportive space.
This series is about helping you:
- Reclaim your attention and mental energy
- Let go of unhelpful self-blame and shame
- Understand recurring patterns in relationships
- Move forward with steadiness, self-respect, and emotional clarity
You are welcome to attend one session or all four, though the series is designed to build week by week.
Weekly Schedule
- Week 1 (Feb 4) – Freeing Up Headspace
- NO MEETING (Feb 11)
- Week 2 (Feb 18) – Releasing Self-Blame and Shame
- Week 3 (Feb 25) – Untangling Assumptions and Emotional Triggers
- Week 4 (Mar 4) – Reclaiming Integrity, Choice, and Forward Motion
