Getting your due edition - The Revenger’s Tragedy

Details
It is fall, the nights are getting longer, and October is the spooky month. Let’s get together and read a story of anger, death, and revenge — The Revenger’s Tragedy. DrunkSpeare has read through all the Shakespeare plays and now we are branching out. This month we try a new playwright, from the same period — Thomas Middleton. He has been attributed to working with Shakespeare on Timon of Athens, and some attribute him to also working on Macbeth, and at the time was as popular a playwright as Shakespeare, sometimes referred to as “Our other Shakespeare”. So this month we turn to a dark tale of Dukes and Duchesses in Italy, of course with death and revenge. Maybe we will see: you should never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line. Come on by and take a part, you could be a Duke, a Duchess, a killer or a virtuous lord.
We will read a slightly edited version of the play, which will try to keep it to two hours. The parts are handed out at random, and will be changed from time to time. Bring your phones and tablets, we will be reading the play from online, and a version of the play is here:

There might be copies of the play at your local library, and it is always a good idea to visit your local library. If you go, let us know if you found a copy there. If you want to study up on the play before the day, you can find more info here:
