We continue our wondering around to other play writes and eras. This month we head to Russia, and to one the classic Russian play writes — Anton Chekhov. We head to the country side, and to an estate for — Uncle Vanya. Last time we were Greek, with Lysistrata, which we all got silly with. Over two thousand year old play, still gets the laughs. But this time come along, and get into the end of an era, a time of absurd wealth and low poverty, a time revolution just over the horizon. Come on by and take a part, you could be the wealthy professor, or the young wife, The farm manager, the local doctor, or the young professor’s daughter.
We will read the whole play, but will still try to keep it to two hours. The parts are handed out at random, and will be changed from time to time. Bring your phones and tablets, we will be reading the play from online, and a version of the play is here:
