About us
Welcome to the Dubai Community of Curious Minds!
It is easy to become so caught up in daily life that we forget to pause and think deeply about ourselves and the world around us. We can end up living almost like zombies on autopilot: work, eat, sleep, repeat. Philosophical discussion gives us an opportunity to step outside that routine, question what we take for granted, and engage in deeper critical thinking.
In this group, we ask, answer, and explore philosophical questions and ideas. The purpose is not to prove that our own opinions are correct, but to enrich ourselves by listening to different perspectives, discovering new concepts, and reconsidering our assumptions.
Our meetups focus primarily on our personal philosophies of life rather than the formal teachings of famous philosophers or academics. You do not need any previous knowledge of philosophy to participate. Curiosity, open-mindedness, and a willingness to think are far more important.
This is not a platform for promoting political, religious, or ideological beliefs. Participants are encouraged to question ideas, challenge their own views, and respectfully engage with the perspectives shared by others.
Our discussions may explore topics such as human nature, morality, ethics, the origins of the universe, the meaning of existence, consciousness, death and the afterlife, existentialism, artificial intelligence, transhumanism, life extension, free will, identity, and the future of humanity.
There may not always be definite answers—but asking better questions can change the way we understand life.

A Friendly Note About Etiquette
* Philosophical discussions naturally bring together different opinions, so a little disagreement is completely normal.
* Please treat everyone with kindness and respect, even when their views are very different from your own.
* Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore new ideas, cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking.
* Feel free to challenge an idea, but never attack or belittle the person sharing it.
* Listen to understand, not simply to reply or prove someone wrong.
* Everyone should feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and changing their mind.
* Our goal is to learn from one another and enjoy thoughtful, meaningful, and friendly
conversations.
