What we’re about
H.E.A.R.T. is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) in the UAE and beyond. Our purpose is to provide peer support, education, and healing resources to help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and strength.
We aim to complement existing services in the UAE by focusing on long-term emotional recovery, peer-led support, and survivor empowerment, a safe community and give survivors the tools they need to overcome trauma, break the cycle of silence, and foster personal growth.
This is peer support group is for women only. We will have a separate group for male survivors.
During the session we will discuss coping strategies, managing triggers and flashbacks, building self esteem, working through relationship and trust issues and other topics that may emerge.
Groups guidelines are:
- Confidentiality - what is shared in the group stays in the group
- Respect - everyone’s experiences and feelings are valid, we respect others perspectives
- No Judgement - everyone is welcomed
- No obligation to share - You are not required to share if you don’t feel comfortable
- Listen actively - we give each other full attention when speaking
Sessions last 60-90 minutes.
Note: this is a new group, led by a CSA survivor and certified life coach. We would need a minimum of 2 participants to kick off the group.
