About us
Brites is a friendly, welcoming community for people who care about building a better society — together, in person and online.
We're united by an interest in communitarian ideas: that human flourishing comes from real relationships and community, that there's a "common good" (things like nature, clean air and water, and civil liberties) worth protecting together, and that community groups — clubs, charities, and faith groups — play an important role in bringing people together.
We bring these ideas to life through:
- Non-profit summits — casual meetups where people from different charities and community groups connect, share what they're working on, and find ways to support each other.
- Civil discourse nights — structured conversations about issues affecting the common good (currently with an Australian focus, though everyone's welcome to join and bring their own perspective).
- Retreat weekends — small-group weekend gatherings for deeper reflection and discussion, where we slow down, think through big questions together, and talk about what we believe and why.
Between events, our Telegram group is where members keep the conversation going, share ideas, and get to know each other better.
If you're looking for a community that thinks seriously about how we live together and what we owe each other, come join us — at an event, or in the chat.
