Distance 64km, hilly, difficult.

Join us for a hilly cycle out to Lough Tay, also known as the Guinness lake.
The stunning scenery of the Lake surrounded by the mountains makes it one of the most iconic locations in Ireland.
This beautiful lake is only 33km from the city, but its uphill all the way!

Here is the plan for the day:

1️⃣We leave from the Swan Leisure centre in Rathmines at 930am sharp
2️⃣ We head up through the old military road on a long sustained climb , till we reach the featherbeds, an area of heather and bog above the Glenasmole valley.
After a nice downhill to Glencree its back up hill and over the Sally gap, reaching the remote location of the Guinness lake at 32km.
We will have a food stop here ( bring your own, no shop or cafe)

3️⃣After a coffee and chat we head on with more up and downs reaching Enniskerry where we have our second stop.
4️⃣ Its mostly downhill from here finishing the cycle at Farmer Browns in Milltown

Please wear a helmet and bring a tube etc in case you get a puncture.

Please note - It is every participant's responsibility to ride safely, follow the rules of the road, and come prepared with the proper equipment.
Please cycle single file on narrow busy roads
