Convene in the morning in Mestre and cycle about 11km to the Venice ferry terminal, Tronchetto. The bridge to Venice has a bike path.
Take the #17 ferry to the island of Lido di Venezia and cycle south to the southern end (about 10km).
Take the #11 ferry to the island of Pellistrina and cycle south as far as is permitted (9km)
Head back north on more or less the same route in reverse, taking the same ferries, and finish back in Mestre.
