Distance 73 Kms, 385m ascent
Today we cycle out through north county Dublin’s quiet rural roads to reach Naul village on the border of counties Dublin and Meath.
A lovely route through north county Dublin.
Here is our plan for the day.
1️⃣. We leave from St Anne’s Road Pocket Park, beside Drumcondra Train Station (corner of Drumcondra Road and St Anne’s Road ) at 9.30am
2️⃣Cycle out the north city suburbs using mostly bike lanes, then through Santry Demesne and on to to St Margaret's, and onwards to Garristown and Naul on quiet rural roads, visiting Fourknocks Passage tomb on route to Naul from Garristown. .
3️⃣ We stop for coffee/lunch in the Séamus Ennis Cafe in Naul village.
4️⃣ The return journey is via Oldtown, Killsallaghan and St Margaret’s and through Ballymun before we finish in Drumcondra.
All going well we should be back in Drumcondra by 2pm.
- Please note - It is every participant's responsibility to ride safely, follow the rules of the road, and come prepared with the proper equipment.
- Please wear a helmet and bring a tube etc in case you get a puncture.
- Please cycle single file on narrow busy roads
