## 🥧 THIS IS MILE HIGH PIE DAY!!!!

Saturday, April 25 • 3:30 PM
Blue Springs Cafe – Highland, IL
(Private room + plenty of daylight to get you home safely)
FELLAS… we are in for a TREAT.
And before anyone gets their panties in a wad about the drive — yes, for some of you it’s 30–45 minutes. That is exactly why we chose the early slot. Daylight Saving Time is on our side. Sunshine getting there, sunshine getting back. Most of our events are 20–30 minutes away… this one is about 35 minutes from the Poplar Street Bridge. It’s April. The weather is nice. This is a spring field trip.
And let’s not forget — how many of our Illinois guys cross that bridge into the Lou for us all year long? A lot. We owe them this one.
Now let’s rewind.
AOL.
Man4Man.
Dial-up tones screaming through the house.
You absolutely drove 45 minutes to meet a dark-haired guy in jeans and a t-shirt because he typed “hey.”
Fast forward 25 years.
Now we’re driving for something guaranteed.
THIS IS MILE HIGH PIE!!!!
And the COMFORT FOOD THAT IS MARRIED TO IT — AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER!
Fried chicken with crunch.
Chicken & dumplings that hug you.
Meatloaf standing proud.
Country fried steak smothered in gravy.
Mashed potatoes whipped and ready.
And then…
Pie stacked like it has altitude clearance.
Coconut Cream reaching new heights.
Chocolate layered with authority.
Lemon Meringue defying gravity.
And since it’s April 25…
In Miss Congeniality, Cheryl calls it “the perfect date… because it’s not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket.”
Well forget the jacket. Now maybe an adjustable belt!!
Dolly Parton says —
And if you want the pie…
you’ve got to loosen the belt and live a little. 🥧
This is spring comfort.
This is indulgence.
This is a drive worth making.
You drove farther for less in 1999.
Now you’re driving for pie.
Mile High Pie Day.
