Duluth Novelists Monthly Meetup

We had a good discussion about the difficulties of writing characters with depth so they don't come off as flat. We talked about some ways to give characters their own voice and how that can be difficult because we each have our own way of saying things, which we have to remember when our characters use different phrases.

Our next meetup will be at the Duluth Whiskey Project on Sunday, June 14th, from 1 to 3pm.

As usual, the first hour will be devoted to comparing notes, discussing our current projects, and generally encouraging each other in our writing. You never know what topics we might discuss. We will provide space to read samples of your work and give feedback.
The second hour will be devoted to focused writing time.
