Duluth Novelists Monthly Meetup

At our last meetup, while talking about the food allergies one of our members has, the discussion turned to the possibility of adding food allergies to a character. Not only would that show how people with food allergies have to navigate it, but it's also a way to make the character more real. Then our discussion turned to the proper way to make points in your story: write the story first, then add bits and pieces only where they fit.

Our next monthly meetup will be at the Duluth Whiskey Project on Sunday, November 8th, from 1 to 3 pm. The first hour will be our writers' support group discussion, where we compare notes, brainstorm ideas, and generally help each other along in our writing.
