Duluth Vegan Dine Out at Sara's Table
Details
❄️ Join the Duluth chapter of Compassionate Action for Animals for a Dine Out!
🎟️ Be sure to RSVP on Ticketbud, as the organizer must make reservations in advance! We’ll meet at 5:00pm at Sara’s Table on 1902 E 8th Street. Ask for the table reserved under “Forest Gray/CAA” and look for the 11×17 blue CAA sign to help locate the group. Again, remember to RSVP on Ticketbud!
🍚 The menu focuses on international dishes made with locally- and sustainably-sourced ingredients. Vegan options abound, including several from the all-day menu and others from the dinner menu, including Kimchi Fried Rice, So-Cal Bowl, Tempeh GBLT, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Okonomiyaki, German Seitan Chop, Puttanesca, Classic Chester Curry, and so much more! (Some of the aforementioned items need to be requested made vegan style; others are vegan by default.)
🍰 Vegan dessert options on the menu include Strawberry Rhubarb Rose Pie, Seasonal Fruit Pie, Dorothy’s Root Beer Float, Affogato, vanilla ice cream, and specialty cupcakes, muffins, and cookies. There are also craft cocktails, mocktails, and herbal teas on offer.
🌾 For anyone with Celiac or gluten sensitivity, vegan gluten-free options include the Okonomiyaki (savory Japanese veggie “pancake”), Thai Pad See Ew (rice noodles, veg, & tofu), the So-Cal Bowl, Kimchi Fried Rice, and the Classic Chester Curry. Gluten-free vegan dessert options include the rotating-flavor cupcakes, Seasonal Fruit Pie, and various muffins and cookies.
👥 All are welcome – invite your veg-friendly friends and family! All food we order at the dine-out should be vegan, and all attendees will pay for our own orders. If you need to cancel, please email so we can free up your spot for other attendees — email abbey.feola @ exploreveg.org (remove spaces).
🌱 Why a vegan dine-out? Vegan meals prevent harm to animals, save water, help the climate, preserve wild land, and boycott the animal abuses of factory farming. Well-balanced vegan eating also reduces the risk of several chronic diseases. Wherever you are on your veg journey, you’re welcome at this event!
🙏 Thank you to community member Forest Gray for organizing and facilitating this event.
