We are so excited to have Doug Schepers speak at our April meetup about accessibility and data visualizations. Come learn about the problem he and his team focus on solving for with ParaCharts: making visual data perceivable to people, regardless of the individual's (dis)ability.
Title: ParaCharts: Inclusive Data Stories
Description: ParaCharts solves one of the hardest problems in accessibility: data visualizations. We generate charts with automatic multi-level interactive descriptions, all in the browser, with no AI. We’ll show a workflow from data to finished chart in moments, with tools for customization and even restricted formats like PDF and social media, demonstrating automated accessible charts at scale.
Speaker Bio - Douglas Schepers: Doug is the founder & CEO of Fizz Studio, making data visualizations accessible to all. Previously, he was a W3C project manager for 10 years.
Location: 1009 Think Pl, Morrisville, NC 27560

Thanks to Microsoft for letting us use their facility.
Parking:
The building has a large free parking lot in front. Please park there and enter through the main door. If I receive updates to any of this information, I'll contact everyone here ASAP.
Food and Drink:
As of now, our meeting doesn't have sponsors for food. Microsoft said we can bring food and drinks into the room. So Esther plans to bring some water and soda for everyone. If you need something more substantial than this, feel free to bring that for yourself.
If you know of an organization wanting to sponsor food and drinks for our event, please reach out to Mel Linares, Andi Pitt, or Esther Siram.
