Arrrr! - A Pirate's Guide to Accessibility

Details
Meetup Ahoy!
Ye better save the date, me hearties - Arrrrrrr!
Come celebrate "International Talk Like A Pirate Day" a few days early and view accessibility through a pirate lens (or "eye patch").
Attending "Landlubbers": feel free to dress like a Pirate too! Arrrrrrrr!
We'll discuss issues effecting pirates like:
- Current challenges with touch screen only technology and hook wearers
- How firing cannons on the job led to light sensitivity and vestibular issues... and how this impacts your video game playing and work Zoom calls
- The difficulty wheel chair users have finding accessible planks
- Asking for accommodations to reach the crows nest (who doesn't want to yell out "Land Ahoy!"?)
- Accessible treasure maps
- Neurodiverse pirates
- Sca11yWCAGs and swabbing decks when seasick
Beware: a treasure map with more details forthcoming.
