Since we plan to meet on St. Patrick's Day we can consider potential problems people living with color blindness deal with. For instance, if someone can't see green at all, but finds themself in a meeting where their boss presents slides of charts using green to differentiate important financial information, how will that person perceive the data and ask relevant questions? What if that person doesn't want to share that they lives with this invisible disability? What should they and/or what should their work do? Is it the individual's problem to fix, or society's problem to fix?
( Maybe in the spirit of Kermit the Frog we can sing: "it isn't easy not seeing green..." )
Regardless, save the date for our interesting and friendly discussions about accessibility and how to make our digital and physical world more perceivable, operable, and understandable to people living with disabilities of all sorts.
