Special Event: Library Tour - Durham-Raleigh A11y

Come to this special event outside of our monthly meetup!

Jennifer Jamsky, Accessibility Services Coordinator, Durham County Library, will give us a tour of Durham's main branch with an accessibility lens and discuss with us how their library system seeks to make the library and its resources accessible to the public, no matter their (dis)ability and background.

This event is open to everyone in our group, regardless of your county library affiliation.

Join the tour and find out how one of our local library systems actively implements accessibility, what issues and barriers to accessibility they struggle with and notice patrons dealing with, and how we as an accessibility focused community and as individuals can possibly collaborate with them and others in our local community to mitigate and remove these barriers.
