Düsseldorf Street Photography Meetup

Sport events are good opportunity to practice taking photos of motion. At Cologne's "FRÜH Sommer-Renntag" there are 8 horse races the first at 11:15 AM. Tripods, publishing photos professionally is not allowed, especially at the edge of the racetrack, but to take photos for private usage is ok. So bring a tele lens (e.g. 300min) if you have.

If you come by public transportation I recommend to use KVB line 15 to Köln Scheibenstraße.
We meet at 10:45 at the entrance gate outside of the "Galopprennbahn Köln-Weidenpesch, Rennbahnstraße 152" at the parking lot. Please buy a ticket "Stehplatz" before (16 EUR) online to be able to enter.
Once, we have entered the area at 11:00, we will look to get a good observation position to take photos of the first race. There will be many people, presentation of riders with their horses, so many opportunities for various kind of photos. We will take photos at the festival area and of the races for about 2 hours. At around 1pm we could gather at the "Em Tattersall"-Biergarten if participants are interested: Tattersall menu.

We are a friendly group of hobby photographers who meet in their leisure time to practice photography, exchange and learn from each other. There is no strict programme for our meetup, but we rather try to give space to everyone that they can do what they like most.
