Cologne - Fountains

Details

Let's go on a photo walk in Cologne, taking in some of its beautiful fountains. The "old town" of Cologne has several fountains that are traditional fountains (like the Jan-von-Werth-Brunnen) or modern ones (like the Taubenbrunnen). They invite you to play with different perspectives, or to take macro photography of the figures or the relief.
I suggest the following path:

  1. Taubenbrunnen (Domplatte) [abstract fountain: you can play with patterns, lines, forms]
  2. Petrusbrunnen (Roncalliplatz) [can be combined with elements of the cathedral or the Domfontäne]
  3. Heinzelmännchenbrunnen (Am Hof) [use the stairs to play with the perspective]
  4. Jan-von-Werth-Brunnen (Alter Markt) [classic fountain with old town hall and old market]
  5. Tierbrunnen (Groß St. Martin) [macro photography of figurines]
  6. Brunnen der Fischweiber

We walk slowly so that it may take 2 hours until we reach the Fischweiber-Fountain at the riverbank. We may look for something to eat, which allows us to exchange with fellow participants of this meetup.

I am looking forward to some of you joining me for this walk!
