Tag der Schiene (Feldbahn)

The 21st of September is the "Tag der Schiene" in Germany. To celebrate this special day, the Feldbahn museum Rommerskirchen-Oekoven has not only many trains on display, but their steam engine "Hilax" from 1941 will run with a train between 10:30 and 15:30. It is a great opportunity to take photos at the event of the steam train, the exhibition, and the people.

We meet at 10:45 am and will stay there at least for 2 hours. Afterwards, we may get together at the Bistro 600 to exchange with fellow participants of this photo meetup.

As the name suggests, a Feldbahn is in the field (Google Maps). Therefore, it is hard to reach by public transportation. If those coming by car can give other participants a lift, then it should be possible for everyone who wants to join to come. Please, use the comments below to organize. Alternative: the closest railway station is Grevenbroich, from where you can take the bus 871 to "Rommerskirchen Abzweig Oekoven". I will come by car and can pick up up to 3 persons at 10 in Horrem (RE9 from Aachen 09:18–09:56, RE9 from Köln 09:47-10:01).
