Hiking Day Ruhr 2025!

🌲 HIKING DAY RUHR 2025 – Special Edition 🚶‍♀️

This September, we’re joining the Ruhr Regional Association’s Hiking Day – a huge event celebrating hiking in the Ruhr Valley! Our route will take us around Bochum-Dahlhausen, home to Germany’s largest private railway museum.

✨ Highlights

* Hike with a large community of outdoor enthusiasts
* Explore the Ruhr Valley on a 17.9 km moderate trail (Komoot estimate: 4h 53m)
* Total elevation: ⬆️ 265 m / ⬇️ 265 m
* Part of the official Hiking Day Ruhr 2025 program 🎉

📍 Meeting Point & Schedule

* 09:00 Düsseldorf Hbf (everyone is free to join at another stop)
* Train: 09:07 from Düsseldorf Hbf (platform 14, S1) → Essen-Steele Ost (arr. 10:01, platform 4)
* Bus: 10:20 Essen-Steele Ost → 10:30 Bochum-Dahlhausen (hike start)
* Return: We’ll be back in Düsseldorf Hbf around 17:30 (with some flexibility).

📝 Registration
To officially take part in Hiking Day Ruhr 2025, you can register for free via the RVR:

* On the spot: Spontaneous registration is also possible in front of the Railway Museum (starting point).

✅ Registration gives you a Hiking Day wristband, fold-out map, and stamp pass.
