What we're about

Welcome to the Dutch Android User Group (DutchAUG)

The Dutch Android User Group (DutchAUG) organises monthly meetups where Dutch Android professionals can meet and connect with each other. The main goal is to inspire and be inspired by hearing members sharing their knowledge about- and experiences with their passion, Android.

Our meetups are fun and technical, with presentations done by Android gurus, open discussions, demo's and workshops in an informal setting. The purpose is to provide you “the Android professional” a place to learn more about the Android technology, ask questions and meet other people.

Joining is free!

If you would like to join us (http://www.dutchaug.org/join) or receive more information about our activities, please subscribe for the next event, or contact us by email at info@dutchaug.org.

Stop, Gradle Time!

Open Web IT BV

Another month, another meetup! This time we'll be visiting OpenWeb's office in Nieuwegein (near Utrecht) and learn about your favorite build system: Gradle! TALK 1: Forging a Gradle plugin for Android. Ever wondered how to build a Gradle plugin? Why even consider a Gradle plugin over logic in your build files? What about Android projects and testing the plugin? In this talk we will be casting a basic Gradle plugin, then we grind it to perfection with some more advanced techniques. Let’s get forging! Rolf Smit, Android Developer @ Open Web, currently working for Ahold Delhaize (Albert Heijn app) TALK 2: Fighting incremental times. Let's talk about how to measure your build times, what contributes to the build times, how we can troubleshoot the easy things, how to speed up annotation processing, what is philosophy in the updating build dependencies to the latest and beyond all of these.
