What we're about

Welcome to the Dutch Android User Group (DutchAUG)

The Dutch Android User Group (DutchAUG) organises monthly meetups where Dutch Android professionals can meet and connect with each other. The main goal is to inspire and be inspired by hearing members sharing their knowledge about- and experiences with their passion, Android.

Our meetups are fun and technical, with presentations done by Android gurus, open discussions, demo's and workshops in an informal setting. The purpose is to provide you “the Android professional” a place to learn more about the Android technology, ask questions and meet other people.

Joining is free!

If you would like to join us (http://www.dutchaug.org/join) or receive more information about our activities, please subscribe for the next event, or contact us by email at info@dutchaug.org.

How to effectively create and review PRs

In this session I want to guide the audience in how to effectively create and review PRs. Creating them has a few tips like templates and ways of automating some tasks through GitHub. The review part talks about how to approach a PR, how to dialog with the author keeping in mind empathy and the fact we are on the same team, and when to comment vs request changes vs approve.

Lukáš Anda - Android Software Engineer @ Beatgrid

Jetpack Compose Navigation - Another half baked solution?

We'll deep dive into history of the navigation solutions for Android, from Activities, through fragments, navigation component and then finally navigation in Jetpack Compose. Each solution has its benefits, but also pitfalls. Navigation in Jetpack Compose isn't able to pass whole objects, but what if we could go around that? With a bit of Kotlin magic, splash of KSP and and some love, we can upgrade Jetpack Compose Navigation into fully fledged tool in our arsenal.

If you have any questions regarding the event or the safety please reach-out via meetup or ping one of the organizers on our Slack group at http://www.dutchaug.org/slack
