After Google deprecated Firebase Dynamic Links, IKEA had to find a reliable alternative to ensure seamless deeplinking and a smooth user experience in their app. In this talk, we will explore the solution they implemented at IKEA, detailing the technical decisions, the integration process, and how they adapted to the change.

Google Maps Compose for Indoor Navigation

At Rijksmuseum, they offer more than just an Audio Guide. Their app offers several tours illustrated with audio, video, and text. These tours guide you along routes spanning multiple floors, all while being fully offline. In this talk, we will look at building a floor plan in Google Maps Compose and adding overlays like text and icons. We will look at several gotchas to be taken into account and will show how to switch floors and pan around the map without blocking the UI thread.
