Are you new to The Netherlands and would you like to connect with others? Do you like to hike and are you ready to explore nature and landscape around The Hague ánd in other parts of The Netherlands? Join the Dutch Nature Hikes!
There is a hike about every other Saturday or Sunday. Once you sign up for a hike, you will get a payment link via Whatsapp. A few days before a hike, you will receive an email with further details about the hike. All locations can be reached by public transport.
The hikes are between 12-20 km long and are nature-oriented. As your guide, I will try to show you parts of The Netherlands that are interesting and beautiful!
This is a perfect opportunity to connect with both people, landscape and nature. I hope to see you on one of our hikes!

Nature Hike Vlietlanden (16 km) - FULL
Maassluis Centrum, Maassluis, ZH, NLThis hike from Maassluis to Vlaardingen, just west of Rotterdam, will surprise you. The trail passes through De Vlietlanden, a beautifully conserved area with lots of water. We will also visit the Broekpolder forest and the Krabbeplas – looking for the first signs of spring along the way.
Meeting time and place: we will meet at 10am subway station Maassluis Centrum. The hike ends at subway station Vlaardingen West.

Nature Hike Gelderswoudse Polder (14 km) - FULL
Willem Dreeslaan, Zoetermeer, NLThis hike starts and ends in Zoetermeer, at tram stop Willem Dreeslaan. From the starting point, the trail first goes to the old town of Benthuizen, and then through the polder of Gelderswoude. We will take a break at Boerderij ‘t Geertje, a very nice place for a drink and/or lunch. They keep goats, sheep, pigs and other animals and we will very likely get to see the young goats (kids). You are even allowed to feed them!
Meeting time and place: we will meet at 10am tram stop Willem Dreeslaan. This tram stop can be reached by tram 4 from Den Haag Centraal.

Wandelen & Kletsen in Bentwoud, Zoetermeer (14 km)
Tram stop Oosterheem, Oosterschelde, Zoetermeer, NL[English below]
Deze wandeling begint in Zoetermeer en neemt je vervolgens mee door het Bentwoud, een nieuw natuurgebied waar meer dan 2.5 miljoen bomen zijn geplant. De ontwikkeling van dit gebied werd afgerond in 2017 en er is nu al veel te zien. Daar gaan we van genieten tijdens deze wandeling!Start- en eindpunt: De wandeling begint om 10.00u bij tramhalte Oosterheem in Zoetermeer (te bereiken met tram 4 vanuit Den Haag Centraal) en eindigt daar weer om ongeveer 14.30u.
Aanmelden: RSVP voor deze wandeling EN stuur me een berichtje met je naam, emailadres en telefoonnummer (als dit je eerste wandeling is). Je krijgt vervolgens een betaalverzoek via Whatsapp.

This Nature Hike is Dutch spoken - but all are welcome! Especially if you need an opportunity to practice your Dutch and learn outside the classroom, while enjoying nature. On this hike we will visit the Bentwoud Forest near Zoetermeer.Where to meet: The hike starts at 10am at tram stop Oosterheem in Zoetermeer, where we will be back around 2.30pm.
