Sunday Euro Games at Round Table (2nd Sunday)

Newcomers are always welcome! 😊 We’re happy to start with lighter or medium-weight games to help introduce you to different styles and make sure everyone feels comfortable jumping in.

We meet at 11:30am to have lunch and usually start games around 12 Noon.

This event has a focus on Euro games which is about 80% of what we play. These types of games can include medium to heavy weight games. Some examples are: Settlers of Catan, Scythe, Tapestry, Castles of Burgundy, Concordia, Great Western Trail, Flamecraft, Brass: Birmingham, Caverna, Istanbul, Space Base, Clank!, Luxor, and Carcassonne.

The other 20% of games we focus on are light weight games as either fillers when other groups are just about to finish a game, so we can split into new groups or as a way to start or finish out the game day. Some examples of these games are: Cat Lady, Fuji Flush, Hanabi, Fantasy Realms, and Sequence.

We typically do not play adult card games such as Cards Against Humanity and Adult Loaded Questions. We also don’t play many hasbro games such as Monopoly, life and sorry.

Here are some general etiquette we try to follow:

• If you borrow a game, please be kind to it. We ask that you handle all cards and components with care so everyone can continue to enjoy them.
• If you decide to join one of the longer games, we just ask that you make sure you’re able to commit the time to see it through to the end.
• If you’re listening to the rules and realize the game might not be your thing after all, no worries at all — we’re happy to adjust and find something that works better for you! 😊

There are attendees who do not have meetup who show up to these events. In general we have some where from 5 to 8 people who show up outside of meetup.
