About us

🌻 This is a group to share our struggles.

You might not be an alcoholic, but you might drown your sorrows in food, work, shopping, or screen time.
You might procrastinate or overthink. Be a control freak or maybe an attention-seeker.
You might never put yourself first or simply shut down around others.
You might be angry with your parents, your boss, society as a whole, or even life itself.

🌻 We believe in community.

We believe in supporting each other.
We believe in empathy, vulnerability, and accountability.
And we believe that struggling is part of growing up.

🌻 But we also like to have a good time.

Come as you are ☮️

✨ Letter to you:

Hi there,

When I arrived here in 2014, I was amazed by London's endless possibilities.

It felt perfect for me because, at the time, I was only capable of sustaining fleeting relationships, jobs and experiences.

But this lifestyle was not sustainable. So eventually, I crashed, and was forced to face not only my escapism, but also my conflicts, inhibitions and people-pleasing.

Slowly but surely, I became aware of how dysregulated I was. And through that, I gained a deeper sense of humility.

I also became aware of how dysregulated the people around me were. And through that, I gained a deeper sense of equality.

I came to see dysregulation as an expression of pain. And through that, I gained a deeper sense of compassion.

Finally, through humility, equality and compassion, I began to develop the capacity to take accountability, set boundaries and be transparent.

But these foundational skills are best practised with others who better understand us because they are going through the same process.

People who are not waiting until they're healed to build real relationships, because building real relationships is part of how we heal.

So, Dysregulated Anonymous was born.

Thank you,
Miguel
