Toastmasters Mission: To provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth.

People come to visit and join Toastmasters for many reasons, but most common is that most people do have an enormous fear of public speaking. The good thing about Toastmasters is that there is no pressure. You don't have to speak until you are ready. And because everyone there has been in the same position so they are very understanding and supportive.

There will always be nerves....and it's important to remember that nerves are good!! Even seasoned speakers get nervous.

Visit as often as you like; there is never any pressure. We have fun, play a game called Table Topics, tell jokes, listen to great speeches, provide feedback and help each other to grow. We are all at different levels; all are welcome!

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. Come on by! The only thing missing is YOU!
