What we’re about
Welcome to East Bay Deen & Discovery Co-op!
We’re a BIPOC-led, faith-based micro-school in the East Bay, creating space for Muslim families to learn, explore, and grow together. Our community centers the voices and leadership of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color within Islamic education — nurturing children who know their worth, their deen, and their roots.
🌿 Our Focus
Qur’an, Arabic, literacy, math, science, and art — all explored through nature, creativity, and cultural relevance. Learning is soft-guided and child-led: we follow our students’ curiosity while weaving in core academics, adab (manners), and tawheed (oneness of Allah). Neurodiverse learners are welcome, always.
👩🏾🏫 Structure
This is a true co-op: parents rotate teaching, supervision, and logistics. It’s not a drop-off program — it’s a learning village. We begin with breakfast and Qur’an, then move into outdoor lessons, hands-on projects, and community exploration.
💬 Enrollment
Currently enrolling boys ages 5–8 (girls’ group launching soon, in shaa Allah).
If you’re a Muslim parent seeking a peaceful, culturally grounded, and spiritually rooted alternative to public school — one built on deen, discovery, and community — come grow with us.
