What we’re about
Having come together now since August 2012 to explore the various East Bay trails, as of June 2021, we are getting together again on a regular basis, since COVID restrictions have at last been lifted in our parks and immunization rates continue apace.
EBGMHG is a community of like-minded gay men who happen to enjoy the outdoors. All members (yes, you!!) are expected to participate by nominating your favorite East Bay hikes or by directly posting hikes on our site yourself. EBGMHG is not about heroic mountaineering, but good solid hikes, fun companionship, a bit of adventurous exploring now and then, and on occasion, socializing over food and drink. Nothing beats the fresh air, the spectacular landscape and views, and making new friends.

In Sept 2022, we introduced a non-refundable $5 annual fee to encourage engagement and participation. The fee is due from new members following an initial trial period. Funds will be applied towards annual organizer fees of ~$180/yr.
