East Tennessee Wanderers

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a walk in I.C. King Park in South Knoxville. The 5K and 10K walk will have some elevations and is rated a 2C. Both walks are on natural pathways. We will also plan to have an optional lunch at Nauti K's Riverside Bar & Grill on Maryville Pike or Love that BBQ on Maryville Pike following our walk for those who are interested.

When: Monday, May 4th, 9:00am start for 10K walkers and 10:00am start for the 5K walkers. Optional lunch from 12:00 to 1:00.

Where: We will meet at the new park entrance to I.C. King Park at 2625 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN. We will meet in the pavilion next to the restrooms. Look for the "Neon Green Shirts", as we will be your guides for these walks. The optional lunch at Nauti K's will start about 12:00pm, at 3725 Maryville Pike, Knoxville TN. Alternatively at Love that BBQ, 1901 Maryville Pike.

Walk Details: The walk is a scenic walk on natural paths (see photo) with some modest hilly and rocky sections. AVA ranking would be a 2C. Walking sticks may be helpful for some trail sections.

Registration Fee: There is a modest $3.00 fee payable to the leader at the start of the walk. Please try to arrive 15 minutes early to make payment. Exact change is appreciated.

Pets are allowed on the walk.

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a Music, Moonshine & Arts 5K/10K Walk exploring some of the history of downtown Knoxville. We will plan to have an optional lunch in Market Square following the walk.

When: The 10K walk will start at 9:00am, the 5K starts at 10:00am, on Saturday, May 9th, 2026. We should be done walking/exploring by 12:00pm. Optional lunch will start following the walk.

Where: We will meet at K-Brew, 507 South Gay St, Knoxville, TN, 37902. Look for the "Neon Green Shirts", as we will be your guides for this walk. Lunch will follow in Market Square for those who are interested. (Free public parking on Saturdays. Suggest State Street Garage, 500 State Street. Market Square Garage now has a $3 weekend fee.)

Registration: The modest cost of the event is $3.00 to cover insurance costs for this AVA sanctioned event. The fee is payable to the walk leader at the start of the walk. Exact change is appreciated.

Details: The walk is on sidewalks with minimal elevation changes.

Pets are allowed on the walk (but will need to remain outdoors in the Market Square restaurants.).
