UT Arboretum 5K/10K Walk in Oak Ridge, TN w/ETW - Saturday, Nov. 22nd

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a walk in the woods at the UT Arboretum, 901 South Illinois Ave., Oak Ridge, TN. We will have both a 10K (6.2 mile) and a 5K (3.1 mile) walk in the woods. We will also plan to have an optional lunch/ice cream at D&B's Hot Dogs and Ice Cream (8909 Oak Ridge Hwy) or Little Nicky's New York Pizza following our walks for those who are interested. The Arboretum does not allow pets. Fido will have to stay home today.
When: Saturday, November 22nd. The 10K walkers leave at 9:00am and the 5K group will leave at 10:00am. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure to register.
Where: UT Arboretum, 901 South Illinois Ave., Oak Ridge, TN. We will meet in the parking lot. Look for the "Neon Green Shirts", as we will be your guides for this walk.
Details: The walk is on well groomed dirt trails with moderate elevation changes. This would be rated a 3C on the AVA scale. Some people may wish to bring walking sticks for a few sections that may have uneven ground. This is an American Volksport Association (AVA) sanctioned club walk and we have a modest $3.00 fee per walker to cover sanctioning fees and insurance costs, payable to the leader on the day of the walk.
