Maryville/Alcoa Extended Greenway Walk w/ETW (5K/10K/21K), Sat., April 11th

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a short walk (5K, 3.1mi), medium walk (10K, 6.2mi.) or challenge yourself to a 1/2 marathon (21K, 13.1 mi) along the Maryville Greenway. This picturesque walk along Pistol Creek from Alcoa to Maryville is sure to please your quest for outdoor serenity. We will have an optional lunch in/outdoors (weather permitting) either at the Blackhorse Pub & Brewery or Kickback Jacks following the walk.

When: Saturday, April 11th, 2026. We will start the 21K at 7:30am, the 10K walk at 9:00am and the 5K walk at 10:00am. Lunch should start around 12:00 noon (give or take)(21K may be a little later).

Where: We will meet at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery on Kings Ct just beyond the Quality Inn at 206 Corporate Pl, Alcoa TN on Kings Ct. This is a flat and paved greenway running along Pistol Creek from Alcoa to Maryville. Look for the members in bright neon green shirts in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery parking lot. Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time to register. Blackhorse Pub & Brewery at 441 N. Hall Rd, Alcoa, TN and Kickback Jacks 1139 Franck St, Alcoa, TN after the walk. (GPS will direct you to the Cedar Lawn Cemetery.)

Parking: Parking is available next to the Cedar Lawn Cemetery, also near the US Foods Distribution Center and at the Quality Inn.

Registration: This is a sanctioned walk and the cost is $3.00, cash, payable to the walk leader at the start of the walk to cover sanctioning and insurance costs. Dogs are allowed on a leash for the walk and outdoors at the Blackhorse brewery.
