What: Join us on Saturday, May 23rd, for a delightful 5K walk through historic Maryville. Historic Maryville was founded in 1795. We will pass the old Courthouse, and the new Municipal Center. Who was Sam Houston? How did Maryville get it's name? We'll also enjoy Bicentennial Park and a section of the Alcoa / Maryville Greenway and view the spring which provided water to Historic Fort Craig.

When: Saturday, May 23rd. We will meet for an optional dinner at 5:00pm and plan to start our 5K (3.1 mile) walk at 6:30pm.

Where: We will meet at the Blount County Library parking lot, 508 N Cusick St, Maryville, TN. Depending on how many attendees we have, we will split up among several different restaurant options. Los Amigos (Mexican), O! Chulos Grill & Bar (Mexican), Hot Rods 50's Diner, Waterfront Grill, and/or Midland Restaurant.

There is a modest $3.00 charge for each walker which can be paid to the walk leader for this AVA sanctioned walk.

Restrooms: The library closes at 4:30. If joining just for the walk only, plan to stop as needed. McDonald's is available on Calderwood.

Pets are allowed on the walk but not in the restaurants.
