Benton Falls 5K/10K, Monday, June 1st, 9:00/10:00am

What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a 5K/10K walk to Benton Falls. This is a 65 ft waterfall. Hopefully this week's rain will increase the flow. The 10K group will also explore elements of the Slick Rock Loop along with Benton Falls. Both walks are on natural trails. The 5K will have just over 300ft of elevation, rated a 2C and the 10K will have nearly 600 ft of elevation and rated a 3C. We will plan to stop for an optional lunch in Etowah or Benton following the hike.

When: Monday, June 1st, 2026. We will start the 10K walk at 9:00am and the 5K walk at 10:00am.

Where: We will meet at the Benton Falls Trailhead, located within the Chilhowee Recreation Area, Benton TN. Your GPS should be able to locate "Benton Falls Trailhead". There is a parking area and restrooms nearby.

Rideshare: If interested in offering a ride or receiving a ride, please contact president@easttennesseewanderers.org . I can't guarantee a ride will be available, but we will check.

Registration: Given the long drive and extra gas money, ETW will cover the walk fees for this event. There is a small parking fee for each vehicle. Bring a few extra singles to place in an envelope. Attendees will still need to sign in for insurance coverage.
