About us
We are one of the longest-standing meditation Meetup groups in the valley. We meet every Monday & Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. to reflect on the Buddha's Direct Path and practice it for true happiness. Every session includes guided meditation and mentoring to improve your spiritual journey to inner peace.
Our friend NT Hettigei, who has practiced meditation for over 30 years, shares his firsthand experience with the Buddha's Core Teaching of the Four Noble Truths. He is the author of Inner Science: An Experiential Account of Buddha's Wisdom, Explore Within: A Journey to Inner Peace, and Beyond Our Self-Image: The True Story of a Fictional Character. He is the founder of[ Ancientpath.org](https://www.ancientpath.org/), with a vision for the path to inner and global peace. He is the CEO of the Sages' nth Foundation Inc., which is working towards anger-and hatred-free societies. You can support this mission by financial contribution through this webpage.
Our weekly meetups are always free! Donations to the Arizona International Buddhist Mediation Center (AIBMC), where we meet, are welcome and help with temple maintenance. The AIBMC Meditation Center looks like a regular house, but is, in fact, a Buddhist temple. There is a hall at the back of the temple (where you'll see the Buddha statue in this meetup cover photo) where we meditate. To enter, please proceed through the carport on the left side of the temple. The door to this hall is on the back left (southwest) side of the building, under the carport. Parking is available curbside or in the church parking lot across the street.

We meet every Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. to explore and practice Buddha's Teachings. The Buddha said that awakening occurs with 100% support from the Noble (Kalyana) Friends (Mithra), who share their knowledge and experience on the spiritual path. Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced meditator, you are welcome to join us as a Noble Friend who shares, learns, and practices with us on our spiritual journey.Our experienced meditation guides will lead a meditation session focused on mindfulness and deep relaxation. Currently, sessions are led by Stefanie Johnson, Alex Hood, or NT Hettigei, all of whom love sharing their deep experience of true happiness.
