What we’re about
We are one of the longest-standing meditation Meetup groups in the valley. We meet every Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. to reflect on Buddha's core teachings and meditation practices. Every session includes guided meditation and mentoring to improve your spiritual journey to inner peace.
Our friend NT Hettigei, who has practiced meditation for over 30 years, shares his firsthand experience of Buddha's Core Teaching of The Four Noble Truths. He is the author of Explore Within: A Journey to Inner Peace and Beyond Our Self-Image: The True Story of a Fictional Character and the founder of[ Ancientpath.org](https://www.ancientpath.org/).
This in-person meetup at the Arizona International Buddhist Meditation Center (AIBMC) is free, and you may donate to the temple. If you would like to subscribe to our mailing list, please email us at admin@ancientpath.org to receive updates on special events.
The AIBMC Meditation Center looks like a regular house but is, in fact, a Buddhist temple. There is a hall at the back of the temple (where you'll see the Buddha statue in this meetup cover photo) where we meditate. To enter, please proceed through the carport on the left side of the temple. The door to this hall is on the back left (southwest) side of the building, under the carport. Parking is available curbside or in the church parking lot across the street.

An excellent opportunity for seasoned meditators who have completed weeks-long retreats but are still seeking lasting inner peace. Your mentor will help you overcome obstacles to awakening. His approach is practical and proven, according to those who benefited from his guidance:
"I started to feel that I was tapping into my true inner self, or rather, my true self was coming up from within." – Tiffany Armstrong, Mesa, AZ.
"I was told years ago that the essence of wellness is ego deflation at depth. Einstein says I will not solve any problem with the same level of consciousness that created it. NT and this meditation retreat helped me, I think, in my journey to hopefully realize at least a measure of each condition at some point." – Greg Martin, Apache Junction, AZ.
"I am definitely coming back! NT is one of the reasons I will be back. I like his teaching style and contagious bliss." "Paula Conrad. Scottsdale, AZ.
