This transformative practice day is designed to help you discover your true essence and experience lasting inner peace. This event is suitable for individuals at all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned mindfulness practitioners. If you wish to participate for only a few hours, enroll now and check in in the morning; you can leave at any time. We recommend that you follow the program at least until the lunch break.

A great opportunity for seasoned meditators who have completed weeks-long retreats yet still seek lasting inner peace. Your mentor will help you overcome obstacles to awakening. His approach is practical and proven, according to those who benefited from his guidance. You can listen to them here or read the following feedback:

How did you feel before vs. after the session?

“Before the session, I was feeling eager to participate, a bit nervous about how my physical body would hold up, but was overall looking forward to experiencing longer sessions / extended timelessness.
After the session, I felt deeply content and grateful. A supreme degree of calm and groundedness took the lead. I was noticeably unbothered by inconveniences later that evening. I have also noticed a lasting levelness ever since, even as the external stressors of life have drastically spiked.”
– Danielle King, Phoenix, AZ.

“I started to feel that I was tapping into my true inner self, or rather, my true self was coming up from within.” – Tiffany Armstrong, Mesa, AZ.

“I was told years ago that the essence of wellness is ego deflation at depth. Einstein said, I will not solve any problem with the same level of consciousness that created it. NT and this meditation retreat helped me, I think, in my journey to hopefully realize at least a measure of each condition at some point.” – Greg Martin, Apache Junction, AZ.

“I am definitely coming back! NT is one of the reasons I will be back. I like his teaching style and contagious bliss.” – Paula Conrad. Scottsdale, AZ.

About the Teacher
Nandasena T. Hettigei (NT) is an author, spiritual counselor, and visiting meditation teacher at AIBMC, who has been sharing his firsthand experience of non-self—the first Noble Truth in the Buddha’s teachings—for the past three decades.
His spiritual journey started in Sri Lanka as a practitioner of Buddha’s teachings. It continued with long retreats at the Bodhinyanarama Buddhist Monastery in Stokes Valley, Wellington, New Zealand, where he had a profound experience of non-self during a summer retreat in 1996. Since then, he has been sharing it with others worldwide through in-person group discussions and samadhi retreats, including at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in England and Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery in California, as well as, more recently, through online classes, workshops, and YouTube Channels.
Before the pandemic, NT conducted in-person meditation workshops at the Meditation Learning Center in Mesa, Arizona. Now, he is the visiting meditation teacher at the AIBMC in Mesa, Arizona.
He wrote and published Explore Within: A Journey to Inner Peace in 2019, Beyond Our Self-Image: The True Story of a Fictional Character in 2024, and Inner Science: An Experiential Account of Buddha’s Wisdom in 2026. He is the founder of ancientpath.org and the Sages nth Foundation Inc.
NT is a retired certified public and chartered accountant (CPA and ACA), IT Audit (CISA), and Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He gave up his earlier career to fulfill his aspiration to share his experience of true happiness and promote inner and global peace.
