FIVE Year Anniversary Ride! ~16 miles (Ride #116)

"Hi everyone! Are you ready to RIDE?"

The year was 2021. We wore masks. We kept our distance. There wasn’t much going on, but there was East Bay Bike and Music!

Fast forward FIVE years, with 940+ members and 115 bike rides under our helmets, it's time to celebrate the FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of East Bay Bike & Music! That's right, five years of bikey fun, friendship, and adventures.

Our 5th Anniversary Ride will be a slightly modified version of our first ride in February 2021. We'll cruise over Emeryville's beautiful South Bayfront Bridge, along Berkeley Aquatic Park, up the Bay Trail to Albany, and back on the Ohlone and Emeryville Greenways. This ride will be mostly flat with a few modest inclines (300' elevation gain total) and will be about 16 miles.

At the end we’ll gather for food and drink in the courtyard of Emeryville Public Market, which offers something for everyone.

We'll meet up in the plaza across the street from Arthur Mac's (one block from MacArthur BART) around 10am, do introductions, and leave by 10:30.

Please dress appropriately for the forecast and bring water, snacks, money for our post-ride gathering -- and a working, tuned up bicycle!
