Alameda Creek, Coyote Hills, and Niles BART-to-BART
Details
Join us for a springtime cruise along the lovely Alameda Creek Trail!
We'll meet at Union City BART at 10:15, follow the trail through Coyote Hills, and take in some gorgeous views. Then ride back on the trail to Charlie Chaplin's hometown of Niles, where there are several options for picking up lunch, which we can take to a nearby park. If there's time, we can also can stop in at the Silent Film Museum.
From there, we'll pedal 2.5 to Fremont BART (2.5 mi) to train home.
Much of the trail is paved on one side and gravel on the other (take your pick), and one section is all gravel. The whole thing is flat, easy riding! Hopefully some wildflowers along the way.
Bring snacks and your lunch if you don’t want to buy it. We'll make some stops along the way to admire views and refuel. As always, dress for the Bay Area's changeable weather and bring water.
