Cherry Blossoms Forever & Picnic! ~15 miles (Ride #118)

Let's join for a springtime ride in Oakland and Berkeley, and celebrate the arrival of Spring, plus it's Jeannie's birthday!

This relaxing ride will be around 15 miles, mostly flat plus the upslope from the waterfront up to Willard Park. We’ll also be going over three bike/ped bridges! and many low-traffic, quiet city streets as well.

We will be picnicking at Willard Park, so please bring something easy to share with the group. I will bring paper plates, bowls, and napkins, and disposable forks. We might also be encountering more folks at the park as well. And if a few people bring picnic blankets, so much the better!

Please dress for the weather and bring a working, tuned-up bicycle, and WATER. As always, be prepared for small detours and unexpected stops. We never know what we’ll find. And again, please bring something to share, and warm your vocal chords to sing happy birthday!

We'll meet in the church plaza across MLK from Arthur Mac's just outside the MacArthur BART station. We'll do introductions, and be rolling by 10:20. After the picnic, we will lead those who wish to to ride back to MacArthur.
