Content Imports and Site Migrations

Note that I've scheduled this for the 4th Sunday in September to avoid a conflict with WordCamp Sacramento (https://2017.sacramento.wordcamp.org/).

Here's the problem: the client's old site is not in WordPress, but you need to import a ton of content. What do you do? It's not always easy to bring content from another platform into WordPress, but it is always possible.
