Set It and Forget It: Structured Content in WordPress with the Pods Framework

Details
• What we'll do
For a content-heavy website, you have to go beyond the WYSIWYG to focus on what's important -- the content. Structured content helps with consistency in content as well as layout. The Pods Framework (https://pods.io/) is a powerful way to "set it and forget it!" Focus on your content and relax about the layout. We will discuss:
- Reasons for using Pods over solutions like ACF
- Custom taxonomies and custom post types in Pods
- Setting up Pods templates with "Magic Tags"
- Using conditionals in Pods templates to format layouts depending on available content
- Using Pods shortcodes to build pages with structured content
• What to bring
We'll run through a case study of an archive website using Pods custom taxonomy, custom post types, templates, and shortcodes.
