Hello Fellow Hikers!

Welcome to East Bay Hikers. We’re a group dedicated to hiking and exploring trails in the East Bay and beyond. All are welcome. I do hikes
on the first Saturday of the month.

Whether you’re hiking with a meetup, or on your own, please review these hiking safety tips.

Since we’ll occasionally be hiking on East Bay Mud land, you’ll need to get a permit. You can get that here.

Hike Briones Regional Park
Bear Creek Staging Area, 16 Bear Creek Road, Lafayette, CA, US
Greetings all my next hike will be to Briones Regional Park, at the Bear Creek Staging Area. It will be Mid Fall so most likely a little chilly, so bring a jacket. Elevation gain/loss will be about 700 feet, hike will be about 4.75 miles. Great views of Martinez and the bay beyond it. To get there take the 24 to the Orinda exit and head North on Camino Pablo. Turn right on Bear Creek Road. You will see a large sign for the Bear Creek Staging Area on the RIGHT side of the road. Turn right at that sign and go straight to the large dirt lot on the right. Park there. Trailhead is there, Hope to see you there. Norman
