Hike Wildcat Canyon

Greetings all My next hike will be to Wild Cat Canyon. Hike will be 6 miles long elevation gain/loss will be almost 900 feet. Weather.com states the temp will be mid 70's. Hike is 3/4 unshaded bring a hat and sunscreen. Trail will be steep in places. There are great views of the bay, so bring a camera. Also bring water and trail snack/lunch. To get there take the 80/580 to Mcbryde in Richmond. Head East toward the mountains. At the stop sign just in front of Alvarado Park, turn right , you will very shortly see a sign saying "Wildcat Canyon Staging Area" turn in there and proceed to the end of the very long uphill parking lot and park. Trail head is there.
