FRIDAY WALK: Alfriston, Alciston & Berwick church circular, 5.7 miles

A 5.7 mile circular walk starting from Alfriston, visiting Berwick and Alciston churches via the South Downs Way and Vanguard Way. 730ft ascent in total, gradually uphill then a short but steep climb up to the South Downs Way affording fabulous views.

We'll stop for our break once we reach the SDW, about half way, so please bring any drinks and snacks that you require for the walk.

There are nice loos at the start and end of the walk. I hope all or some of you can join me for coffee at the Gun Room Cafe near Alfriston church.

Parking is on North Road and The Furlongs. We'll be starting from North Road near the school. We'll meet from 9.45 for a 10am start.
