Intermediate Barefoot Hike at Upton State Forest

Details
Come join us for an intermediate barefoot hike at the Upton State Forest. We will follow several trails through the old CCC grounds for a 3 to 4 mile hike to Dean Pond. This hike will cover mostly dirt trails with some rocky, gravelly sections. The route is usually complete with a few wet and muddy places but this year things have been drier. Although more of an intermediate hike, new hikers are welcome and instruction will be provided.
Meet in the parking lot in front of the main CCC building. As you pull into the driveway from Westboro Rd be sure to take the right most fork which leads up hill to the CCC buildings. Look for barefoot people.
All hikers should bring water and tick repellant. There are some really nice comfortable trails here but there are a few tough stretches of gravel and stones so new hikers and those unsure of their ability should bring backup shoes.
