Bring a camera, phone, or tablet to Beltzville State Park for July 4th weekend, and take part in a family-fun nature photo scavenger hunt along the beautiful Sawmill Trail!!! See if you can take a photo of everything on the list! Once you complete your list, bring it back to the park naturalist for a small prize!
We will be meeting at the Sawmill Trailhead for this event.
Directions from Beltzville State Park:
Turn left out of the park’s main entrance. Proceed past the Army Corps of Engineers building & go approximately 1 mile. Look for a Big Creek Grange sign on the left. Turn LEFT onto Grange Road. At the bottom of the hill, turn LEFT onto Old Mill Road. You will pass 3 houses on the left. After the last house, turn LEFT into the Sawmill Trail parking lot. *Please note, the entrance to the trailhead parking lot is unmarked. If you proceed past the small bridge, you have gone too far.Registration is REQUIRED, as group size is limited. Please register each individual attending, separately. Nature Photo Scavenger Hunt - DCNR Calendar of Events - Tree Identification WalkBeltzville State Park, Lehighton, PA

Join our park naturalist for an easy 1 mile tree identification walk along the beautiful Sawmill Trail. Participants will learn how to identify the tree species found at the park, and we’ll also take a look at the many invasive plant species that impact the native forest. *Rain will cancel the program.
We will be meeting at the Sawmill Trailhead off of Old Mill Road.

Tree Identification Walk - DCNR Calendar of Events - Guided Bird WalkFort Washington State Park, Fort Washington, PA
Meeting Location: Militia Hill Hawk Watch, Lot-5, 447 Militia Hill Rd, Fort Washington, PA 19034
Militia Hill is an excellent birding spot located on the Atlantic Flyway. With a nice view of the Delaware Valley, and welcoming woods, songbirds and raptors can be seen year-around. Search for birds with a ranger and learn some things about their life histories.
Bring your own binoculars. Walk is 1 mile long, with moderate inclines.
